Our Story

The motivation behind Gathered Goods is not that of your usual small business startup. A combination of events, mixed with a touch of serendipity, set the plan in motion for this one-of-a-kind shop. After Carla’s husband passed away in 2014, she felt adrift, her children grown and the quiet of an empty nest settling in. Encouraged by her kids to find something meaningful to fill her days, Carla discovered not just a pastime, but a calling—a place where community, warmth, and thoughtful treasures could intertwine. And so, Gathered Goods was born, a name inspired by the idea that this store would be more than a retail space—it would be a gathering place, a home for neighbors, friends, and anyone seeking a touch of kindness and inspiration.
